The Lockheed Martin TriStar 500 L-1011, a commercial Airliner model that started production in 1978.
HZ-AB1 SN-1247 was originally made for and customized for Royal Jordanian in 1983, this luxury plane spent time in the service of the King of Jordan and the Jordanian Government. In 2001 it was transferred to the Saudi Royal Families Al Anwa Airlines and used for private charter for Prince Abdul Aziz Al Ibrahim and other members of the Royal family! From other research it appears to have been in Ardmore, OK for interior modifications.
We acquired three storage units, 1600 sqft of space, full of the original interior of this beautiful plane with many luxury gold plated fixtures and Mid Century finish to the lounge, bedrooms, and galley’s that would make amazing furniture.
Said to have a navigation and autopilot ahead of its time, the Tristar would be Lockheed Martins last attempt in the commercial airplane market. Needing to sell 500 to break even, after several scandals with the Japanese government, production stopped at number 250.
